A Haunted Heart is a novella and a Halloween-themed. This book is very different from other books that Kristi have written, she really stepped up with this one and i. must say it is brilliant!
I really wish it is a whole book. I love the perfect combination of hot romance, suspense and a HEA.
Another great short read that I would. highly recommend.

This book had me hooked from the prologue! The author drops you into a sexy moment followed quickly by tragedy. I had so many questions and the author masterfully doled out tidbits in a way that kept me drawn into the story from start to finish. This was my first Pelton read, but it won't be my last. Highly recommended!!
This is a novella that will draw you in and entertain you. Anna is barely getting by each day. Her grief is all she knows. Adam comes into her small town for a new job. He is the one to help bring her out of her darkness. This story has strong characters and the plot is filled with suspense and some serious hotness. There are some creepy moments that are sure haunt you. Enjoy this sizzler by Kristi Pelton!
I normally will not touch a novella because they are usually too short for my liking. Not sure what the word count is on this piece but it seemed like a full length novel with no cliff hanger at a novella price. I enjoyed the strong characters, suspense and a little hint of mystery.
Anna suffers tragic loss on Halloween. Her entire world is shaken and the next 10 months finds her barely surviving. Adam gets assigned to watch Anna to see if she knows anything about what is going on. Adam finds that Anna is not moving on and is stuck in her grief. Adam winds up taking Anna out and things start to progress. Adam's boss tells him to lay off of her, that his job is only to get intel, not in her pants. Anna finds herself finally starting to live. When someone Anna trusts kidnaps and places her in a hole her world is again shifted. Anna finds out about Adam working for the FBI and her world crumbles again. You will have to read it to find out how it ends. It was a good, short read and compelling enough to keep turning the pages.
I got through reading this book and I swear that as fast as I read it I NEEDED MORE!!
The book pulls you in from the first page and that's it...don't expect to do much after that but read. Thats the beauty of the book too, the book covers EVERYTHING you would expect in a dark romance. It leaves you with your jaw on the ground and ends with pure satisfaction left inside you.
I didn't know whether to take a chance on the book or not....I DID and SO GLAD I DID!!! The author is extremely talented and inventive in terms of plot. It all comes together in one amazing, juicy book. Ms. Pelton took her thoughts and created an incredible read that's PERFECT for this time of year or anytime of year.

I loved this book perfect time for a Halloween read. The mystery behind this book of whats going to happen next was great. Anna had a tragic accident happen on Halloween and to think if she would be able to trust again. Thats when Adam comes to town and starts to get to know her and break her shell. But will TJ a friend before the accident happend allow that. This is where all the fun mystery comes into place. This is different then Kristi's other reads and I loved it couldnt put it down. You get you HEA and suspense at the same time.
I had the pleasure of being a beta on this book and it is really an awesome book. Full of love, loss and suspense Kristi does an amazing job on pulling the reader in from page one.
Anna is a character who you really feel for. Her pain and her struggle with wanting to let go but not quite sure how is something most people can relate to and I love that about her.
Adam is so hot. He's a good guy and so understanding to Anna's situation. I just want to hug him!
There are some awesome twists and turns in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed all the wtf moments!
I definitely recommend this book!
